How to use our LED's products

A low energy LED MR16/GU10/E27 led spotlight which is a direct replacement for MR16/GU10/E27 Halogen lamps in domestic household applications, remote area power households, caravans and campervans -for landscape lighting, mood and object lighting .This Replacement Led bulb benefits from longer life and cost savings. No heat emmission - reduced airconditioniong costs - Power savings of up to 92 % - fits readily in any existing MR16 2 pin socket - Lamp Base: GU5.3

These lamp is made up of 15/20/30/1W/2W/3W/5W/9W LEDs and lamp life of around 50,000 hours. 15/20/30/1W/2W/3W/5W/9W Light Emitting Diodes arranged in a MR16 Diachronic lamp base enables fitting in any MR16 light fitting, Low power consumption for highly efficient operation and Very low operating costs.

Leds do not have problems with extremes of Heat and cold and are also perfect for garden lighting - No more replacing dead bulbs every few weeks - these last for Years of continuous use. (They will save you more then they cost)

Please note due to the extra Electronics in this product they must be run at 12v DC - any higher power will destroy the bulbs and void the warranty - (I suggest the use of my 12v Voltage Controlled Transformers)

240vAC/12vAC Customers Please Note:

Use of 240v/12vAC transformers with these bulbs must be approved by your electrician before installation as there are some important differences between an LED bulb and the dichroic lamp it has replaced.

Due to the fact that LED's use a tiny fraction of the power of the lamp they have replaced they will also need a different AC transformer to power them.

Standard AC transformers cannot function properly without the proper load on them, if LED bulbs are used instead of dichroic bulbs the AC transformer will raise the current due to resistance being increased by the LED bulb.

Its literally being drowned in power !

Our Ultra brightness LED bulb consumes on a meter no more than 1.4w of power (rated at 2.2w) - OK so double that is the maximum wattage per bulb your transformer should provide. eg
10 bulbs @ (1.4x 2) = 28 watts maximum transformer size

How to calculate out the power for per LED bulb?

Eg1:

Part number:AL-U 20L -20W (20 pcs LED in the bulb)
Parameter of the LED:white,3.2V,20mA
Power:3.2Vx20mAx20pcs ¡À 0.3=1.28 ¡À 0.3W

Eg2:

Part number:AL -30L -40W(30 pcs LED in the bulb)
Parameter of the LED:white,3.2V,40mA
Power:3.2Vx40mAx30pcs ¡À 0.5=3.84 ¡À 0.5W

Eg3:

Part number:AL-HP1W(1W High power LED in the bulb)
Parameter of the LED:white,3.5V,350mA
Power: 3.5Vx350mAx1pcs ¡À 0.5=3.84 ¡À 0.1W

There's another issue as well - there are different types of "standard" AC transformer.

We recommend a standard copper wound AC transformer as other types are only rated to a 2.5m length and will suffer voltage drop in LED bulbs.

This happens also with dichroic types by the way, do you suffer from dichroic bulbs blowing in the same place quite often?

It's the furthest bulb from the transformer - it doesn't get the voltage it needs after the other bulbs have had their feed - so there's very little for the lil nipper on the end.

Correct cable size also has implications - your electrician will be able to calculate the correct size of cable from the voltage, resistance and current draw calculations.¡¡¡¡

All these things must be taken into consideration by your electrician before converting to LED - we cannot take responsibility for multiple failures of our bulbs if your electrician hasn't done his sums on voltage drop and correct transformer size.
